金峰山寺で修行を積んだ吉野修験の教師であり、モデル・フォトグラファーでもある峰のりえに導かれ、
大阪・茨木市にある北摂常蓮庵（しょうれんあん）を訪れました。
この日は、金峰山寺の兄弟弟子にあたる中村ようしんさんによる採燈護摩。
ちなみに自分は、広島県三次市・西光寺の檀上宗謙和尚より
「大光禅士」という名を授かっています。
護摩修法の最中、
焚き上がる炎がまるでリズムを奏で始めたように感じ、
身体が自然と動き出しました。
普段は植物たちと音楽を奏でることが多いですが、
時には滝や鳥たちとも、声やジャンベで即興のセッションをしています。
火とのセッションもまた、
深く、ありがたく、楽しい時間でした。
ようしんさん達自身の手で整え、再興されたこの場所で、
護摩の後、般若心経を歌わせていただきました。
炎を通して、
役行者や、目には見えない様々な存在たちと
静かに繋がれたように感じています。
ようしんさん、
貴重な護摩をありがとうございました。
そして今この瞬間も、
世界のどこかで世界平和や安寧を祈っている人たちがいることに、
感謝いたします。
北摂常蓮庵では、月例護摩供が行われています。
宗教を問わず、
神社仏閣や寺院という場所は、
呼吸を整え、自分自身へ還ることのできる場所。

Guided by Norie Mine — a model, photographer, and Yoshino Shugendo practitioner trained at Kinpusen-ji Temple —
I visited Hokusetsu Shoren-an in Ibaraki, Osaka.
On this day, a sacred Saito Goma fire ritual was performed by Yoshin Nakamura, a fellow disciple connected through Kinpusen-ji.
I have also received the Buddhist name “Daikou Zenshi” from Rev. Souken Danjo of Saikou-ji Temple in Miyoshi, Hiroshima.
During the fire ritual,
the rising flames began to feel like rhythm itself,
and my body naturally started to move.
Usually, I create music with plants,
and sometimes improvise with waterfalls and birds using voice and djembe.
To session with fire was also
a deeply joyful and sacred experience.
In this place — restored and rebuilt by Yoshin-san and his companions with their own hands —
I was honored to sing the Heart Sutra.
Through the flames,
I felt quietly connected to En no Gyoja
and many unseen presences.
Thank you, Yoshin-san,
for this precious ritual.
And I offer gratitude
to all the people around the world
who continue praying for peace and harmony.
Monthly Goma fire rituals are held at Hokusetsu Shoren-an.
Regardless of religion,
shrines and temples can be places
where we return to our breath
and reconnect with ourselves.
