四つの植物音楽に、現地で録音した川のせせらぎを重ねたサウンドスケープ。冒頭は川の音から始まり、数秒後に植物音楽が立ち上がります。川はその後、空間の奥に残る気配として静かに溶け込んでいきます。
A soundscape combining four Plant Music recordings with the river captured on location. The river opens the piece; a few seconds later the plant-generated sounds emerge, while the water recedes into the background as the atmosphere of the place.
現地の風景とともに聴くListen with the Landscape
冒頭に現地での記録映像を置き、その後は一枚の風景に留まりながら、切明温泉で採取した植物音楽と川のせせらぎを約10分間聴く映像です。
A short glimpse of the recording site opens the video, followed by a single still landscape so the attention can settle into the sound.
水と森と温泉のあいだでBetween Water, Forest and Hot Spring
切明温泉は、長野の山深い渓谷にある温泉地です。大きな川の流れ、岩、森、そして河原に湧く温泉がひとつの風景の中にあります。
この場所でMusic of the PlantsのBambooを植物につなぎ、植物の微細な電気的変化を音へ変換して四つの音を採取しました。
植物の音は、一定のテンポや決められた旋律を再生しているわけではありません。その瞬間の変化によって、音の間隔、強弱、流れが揺らぎます。
今回は植物音楽だけでなく、目の前を流れる川もフィールドレコーディングしました。土地そのものの湿度や距離感まで、音の記録として残すためです。
Kiriaake Onsen lies deep in the mountains of Nagano, where a powerful river, rocks, forest and naturally rising hot spring water share the same landscape.
Using the Music of the Plants Bamboo, I connected to plants at the site and translated their subtle electrical variations into sound, recording four different plant-generated tracks.
These sounds do not follow a fixed tempo or composed melody. Their spacing, intensity and movement shift according to changes occurring in the plants at that moment.
I also recorded the river itself. The aim was not only to preserve Plant Music, but to retain something of the humidity, distance and physical presence of the place.

The Bamboo settings are preserved as part of the field archive. Several instrument sounds were used during the session, with a 432 Hz base frequency.
