In six years ago in December, I crossed the sea to meet Hiroshima bomb survivors and sing famous “hometown” Korean song with them in Hapcheon 합천 Korea with my Japanese friends.
It was my 1st trip in Korea.
And it was two weeks after North Korea attacked with gunfire to South Korea.
To add to our sensitive trip, the situation began to make difficult to do the plan there.
I kept asking myself before crossing the sea.
“Am I a suitable person to sing the song at that place?”
There acually was sea that we could see from a ferry to Busan Korea.
It regained my heart slowly.
What I did at the meeting was just singing to feel the atmosphere 氣 and focus on music internally.
It is when fear controls people and makes theirs mind narrow that we sing a song together.
